AN AIR ambulance was called after a 12-year-old boy fainted at a North Yorkshire tourist trail.
The Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) was called to the incident at the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail at around 7pm on Saturday.
The boy was reported to be 'fainted, unconscious' just below Snow Falls.
A CRO spokesman said: "It seems that the – normally fit – youngster had complained of the heat and tiredness through the day – possible heat exhaustion?"
The spokesman said the boy was reported to have regained consciousness and complained of abdominal pain before CRO team members arrived.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics and a North West Air Ambulance doctor attended to the casualty, before CRO team members stretchered him to a waiting road ambulance.
