Police are investigating an assault in Maryport.

A 64-year-old man received a blow to his face from the suspects elbow. He also sustained cuts to his own elbow.

The assault occurred at around 6.30pm on August 3 in the area of The Arches.

The suspect is described as being a man in his mid-30s, around 6ft 1in tall, thin build, short mousey brown hair and no facial hair.

He was wearing a dark green t-shirt and dark blue jeans at the time of the incident.
