WHITCHURCH is set to host a new 'swashbuckling' outdoor show.

'The Voyage of the Alice' will take place at Dodington Lodge from August 26 to 29, and is being organised by actors Guy Hepworth and Steve Chapman.

The show is an open air event, meaning it can be held with social-distancing in mind.

Steve says the 'madcap' show is a great way to help support the town.

"The professional acting world is presently decimated so we have set about creating our own work as well as supporting the town," said Steve.

"It's an open air theatre show on the lawns at Dodington Lodge Hotel in Whitchurch.

"It's the perfect amphitheatre offering a green event as folk can easily walk or cycle to it.

"We're taking care to ensure everyone's safety with limited shows, twice daily over four days, including online bookings only.

"It's Madcap adventure with two ludicrously dippy pirates whose passion for treasure constantly lands them in trouble.

"It's very much aimed at the whole family bringing we hope lots of smiles to what's been a strange old year."

Adults and children are £10 each and children aged three or under are free.

Family tickets cost £35.

The shows will be held at 3pm and 6pm and tickets can be booked at go to www.ticketsource.co.uk/shindig-moon
