TELEVISION Icon Joanna Lumley paid a visit to a Cumbrian train station this week.

The nationally recognised star and actress appeared at the Appleby Train Station on Tuesday.

Joanna, 74, is known for her roles in TV series the Avengers, James and the Giant Peech and also appeared in the Bond film, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service alongside George Lazenby.

The visit caught attention on social media and people commented on the star’s presence.

One person commented: “Love watching Joanna in all her programmes she is so funny. I think she is she doing something new.”

Another said: “It’s a shame to miss her, I like Joanna Lumley. She’s very good.”

Joanna is currently hosting her own show ‘Joanna Lumley’s Unseen Adventures’ which started earlier this year.
