POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Kendal that resulted in a man suffering a serious head injury.
Cumbria Police reported that the incident occurred at the Birdcage, at the junction of Finkle Street and Highgate, shortly after 1am on Saturday, September 12.
The victim, a man in his late 20s, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.
An 18-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident on suspicion of assault GBH. He has been released under investigation.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or a man acting aggressively to an unknown male prior to the incident. Officers would also like to hear from anyone who was in this area that may have been subjected to aggressive behaviour.
