COVID-19 restrictions meant that Harvest Festival celebrations in Underbarrow have had to take a very different form to those of earlier years.

There will be no Harvest Supper, and All Saints’ Church has not been decorated with flowers and food.

The Harvest Festival service took place on Sunday 20th September and the collection sent to The King’s Food Bank in Kendal.

THE Underbarrow and Bradleyfield Parish Council has been meeting online on Zoom.

The Agenda, Accounts and Minutes can be accessed on the Parish Council website www.underbarrowparishcouncil.co.uk,.and also on the notice board outside the institute.

THE PARISH council clerk has been informed that the Helsington Moss Bridgem has been found to be at risk of immediate collapse, so they have closed it immediately.

There are diversions in place.

The council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience.

UNDERBARROW Marrow Day would have been taking place on Sunday 20 September, this is usually an important and enjoyable event for the village, that brings people together, and raises money for charity.

Hopefully, it will be able to go ahead as usual next September.
