A LOCAL company has scooped another award for their delicious bakes.
Lakes based cake company Ginger Bakers, picked up a Great Taste award for their vegan and gluten free Sour Cherry & Brazil Nut Boost Bar, bringing their tally up to 15 Great Taste awards since 2006.
A total of 12,777 products were sent in from across the globe to be judged by a panel of experts including Kavi Thakrar co-founder of Dishoom and baker and author, Martha Collison, as well as some of the UK’s leading food buyers from Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason and Waitrose.
Owner, Lisa Smith, said: “Great Taste awards are among the most coveted of all food and drink awards, they showcase outstanding products and highlight to consumers that those lucky enough to win an award have received a reliable stamp of excellence. Winning an accolade like this is hugely important for a small family business like ours and can open up all sorts of potential business opportunities. Alongside that winning recognition for what we do each and every day is massively uplifting for the team, especially considering the current circumstances, it provided a great lift for us all.’’
