A KENDAL man has been given a community order after conveying a offensive message via a phone call which the court deemed to be racially aggravated.

Jason Michael Harrison, 31, of Lound Road, was accused of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient of said message on August 14, 2019, South Cumbria Magistrates' heard.

Harrison must carry out unpaid work for 120 hours over the next 12 months. He also had to pay a victim surcharge of £90 as well as £85 to the CPS.
