TIM Farron has announced he will be running the Langdale Half Marathon for a charity which provides palliative care to people living in South Lakeland.
The Westmorland and Lonsdale MP said he was 'in awe of the amazing work' that St John's Hospice did.
“There will be so many people taking part next Saturday to raise money for such worthy causes and charities, so I’m delighted that the event is able to go ahead,” he said.
The Brathay Trust, which is organising the event, says it is planning a model for the marathon on October 24 that meets government Coronavirus guidelines.
The public can donate to Mr Farron's cause by searching for his name at everydayhero.com.
