A KENDAL business will offer free meals for children in need as a response to the Government’s decision over school meals.
Waterside café/ food bistro has announced it will begin offering free lunches for children whose families are struggling.
“We were really upset hearing the government didn't offer free lunches for kids, so we are now offering free meals for children in need. If you, or someone you know has children who need a meal, then please let them know that we will feed them, either sit in or take out.
“We won't let our little ones be hungry!
"We just want to help as much as we can in this difficult for everyone times. Hopefully more places will follow us."
This follows the Government’s decision to vote down a call to make school meals available across England during holidays for the next six months, including over Christmas and Easter.
The café is located on Kent View, Kendal.
