AN award-winning brewery has submitted plans to expand its business in Kendal.
Bowness Bay Brewery, based at Aynam Road, has put forward plans to South Lakeland District Council to expand its business into a vacant unit at Castle Mills Business Park.
The brewery currently occupies Units 10, 11 and 16 within the courtyard where brewing operations are carried out and a small bar, The Barrel, provides drinking facilities.
According to planning documents, the brewery wishes to expand into its business into Unit 9 to ‘provide a valuable additional facility’ for customers.
The planning documents state: “The creation of the new drinking establishment will complement the existing operations and provide a valuable additional facility for customers to experience their high-quality beer in a safe environment.”
