An "unexpected incident" left 500 properties in north Cumbria without power.

Electricity North West dealt with "an unexpected incident on our high voltage cable which provides electricity to your property."

It affected properties between Wigton and Oulton.

The supplier confirmed power has now been restored.

The problem was first reported at 2.15pm today (October 24).
