A LAKELAND based events caterer labelled the Government's decision to refuse free school meal vouchers for vulnerable children a 'disgrace'.
In response they have launched a 'box to go' to help those who are vulnerable and need support.
Thai Kitchen, based at Dockray Hall Mill in Kendal, wrote on Facebook: "Our team, here at Thai Kitchen, feel it is a disgrace that our government have refused to give children free school meal vouchers over the holidays in these difficult times, so we are giving something back to our community and the customers that have supported us over the past six months and offering free snacks to local children in support of Marcus Rashford's appeal.
"Each lunchtime from Wednesday to Saturday between 10am - 3pm we are giving a 'Box to Go' takeout to local children, accompanied by their parents, from our cafe in Smokehouse Yard on production of the confirmation showing your free school meal entitlement.
"God bless you all and keep safe."
