An Ulverston teaching assistant and lyricist is part of a new and unique anthology of poems from across the world.
Sophie Bowns is among many contributors of anthology, Western Skies, with writers from places as diverse as Oklahoma, Utah, Norfolk and Merseyside.
The 28-year-old Ulverstonian is already a widely published author and poet and was part of a previous international anthology Luminance in the spring of 2019.
She said: “This project has been really fabulous.
“To be involved with other writers from so many different backgrounds and parts of the world has been a real revelation. There is so much diversity in way we all write.
“I am so proud of what we have put together as friends and fellow poets.”
The project has been edited and published by award winning editor Nic Outterside.
He said: “I have known Sophie for more than three years and she is such a talented individual; so she was the first person I asked to become part of this project."
