PLANS have been put forward to open up a new dog grooming business.

A proposal has been lodged with South Lakeland District Council to set up a dog grooming business from a home attached to The Club at Endmoor.

The applicant, Rachael Smith, currently runs the dog grooming business, Paws with Thought in Kendal.

According to the planning documents, the business expects to groom a maximum of four dogs per day from Monday to Friday and 20 throughout the week. There may be some work undertaken on Saturdays but this is likely to be limited.

The plans suggest that clients will deliver their dogs to the premises, usually with a prior appointment, so there will usually be one client visiting the property at any one time, but there may be an occasional overlap.

There is an existing car park capable of accommodating approximately 50 cars on the site, however, two parking spaces is deemed adequate for demand, according to the plans.
