A DRIVER and passenger have been fined and turned away after travelling to South Cumbria
The driver of a black Peugeot travelled from West Yorkshire to the A590 before they were told to turn around by Cumbria Police.
Both the driver and passenger were then issued Covid-19 fines and ordered to turn around.
A spokesman for Cumbria Roads Police said: "The guidance states a short distance may be travelled for exercise
"We’d argue West Yorkshire to Cumbria isn’t ‘short’."
