Police in Cumbria are appealing for witnesses to come forward after receiving a report of a man making an "offensive hand signal" towards a woman in her car.
The public order incident took place yesterday morning, on the A6 between Penrith and Eamont Bridge.
A police spokesman explained: "It was reported that a man walking on the pavement has run up to a vehicle stopped at the traffic lights and made an offensive hand signal towards a woman in her car."
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 41 of November 23.
