A COURT case involving a woman who was due to stand trial after she was charged with using threatening or abusive behaviour, has been dropped due to lack of evidence.

Kirsty Susan Lynn Jepson, 35, of of Langdale Crescent in Dalton previously denied the allegations to have committed the offence against Siobhan McStravick in Barrow on October 18.

Siobhan Danette McStravick, 32, of Gloucester Street, who accused Miss Jepson of the same crime, was found guilty of threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence towards Kirsty Jepson on the same date.

The Barrovian was given a curfew lasting 22 weeks which will require her to remain at her residence between 7pm and 7am.

McStravick also had to pay £100 compensation, £90 victim surcharge, and court costs of £300, totalling £490.
