A DRUG dealer who was found with 40 wraps of heroin when he was pulled over by police has been jailed.

Liaqat Hussain of Claret Street, Accrington, was convicted of possession with intent to supply Heroin and Preston Crown Court this week.

He was sentenced to two year in prison.

A police spokesman said: "On 29th September 2019 Hussain was stopped driving a black Audi A4 on Union Road, Oswaldtwistle.

"Hussain was in possession of 40 wraps of Heroin with a street value of £400 and the subsequent investigation revealed one of the mobile phones seized was used to supply this.

"Various denominations of cash were seized."

They went on to say that a total of £3,014 was seized and a forfeiture order was made in court under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act.
