READERS are having their say about plans to regenerate Barrow Market's outdoor area.

Phase two of redeveloping Barrow's outdoor market is currently underway after calls to modernise the space, and it could see the addition of pop-up stalls and wooden cabins.

Deb J Lanyon said: "That’s a great idea especially if they are let to unique, artisan & craft type businesses."

Imogen Rose Duke-Birkett said: "What is the point? No one will go that is why shops are shutting down. Town centre is a ghost town. Why not use the money and do something useful like more council homes or even just cleaning the streets because this town is a dump in some areas; so much litter and dog poop."
