Ranking 145th overall, the school was also included in the top ten North West independent schools' category. The survey said: "Windermere School, in Cumbria, which ranks ninth among the northwest independents, won our UK International Baccalaureate School of the Year award in 2017.
"Offering the broader-based IB qualification to sixth-formers, the small school of 360 children offers an outstanding education in idyllic surroundings at the heart of the Lake District, away from the bustle of city life." Head of Windermere School, Ian Lavender said: "As a small, non- selective school, I am delighted to see Windermere appearing amongst the UK’s Top 150 Independent Schools in the Parent Power survey for 2021.
"In a small school, individuals can have a big impact and to be recognised nationally once again is a commendable achievement.
"I am really pleased for the students, their parents and the staff for this is a tribute to their work and the mutual support within our community."
