A ‘ZERO-waste’ company has expanded by launching its brand-new website.

Cut the Wrap, which is a shop offering package free groceries in Ulverston, launched the site on November 30.

A spokesman said: “Order online for local home delivery of groceries, household cleaning, toiletries and all of our gifts and goodies- woohoo!!

“If you live further afield order online for home delivery of all sorts of zero waste gifts, goodies and plastic free lifestyle products.

“Shop small! Shop local! Shop ethical!”

As well as the store’s all year-round offerings the website is ready for Christmas with festive products including recycled and recyclable wrapping paper, plant seed Christmas cards and much more.

The family run business was founded by Cat Moffatt with her husband Paul Moffatt in 2018.

The couple decided to start the business after feeling increasingly frustrated at how difficult it was to cut down on their plastic and food waste.

Cut the Wrap offers a completely package free service, customers can bring their own tubs and containers to be filled up with items including pasta rice and beans.

There are also recyclable paper bags available if customers forget their own.

Other items for sale include toiletry refills, toothbrushes made from bamboo, shampoo bars, sanitary products, cleaning products, water bottles, coffee cups and much more.

The business also travels the area in its ‘pop-up’ shop offering its products from Appleby to Morecambe, Barrow and Ambleside to just name a few.
