GRITTING: Units deployed across Cumbria to prevent icy roads
NINE gritters were deployed on Cumbria's roads to tackle icy conditions caused during the winter months.
Cumbria County Council deployed the units on December 2, to prevent roads turning to ice during the night, or a build up of sleet and snow.
