FIVE flood warnings and 8 flood alerts have been issued by the Environment Agency as Storm Christoph hits the county.
Alerts indicate that "flooding is possible - be prepared" - warnings indicate that "flooding is expected - immediate action required".
The agency has issued three flood warnings for the following areas:
- Keswick Campsite
- River Eden at Carlisle, Rickerby Park, Swifts and Stoneyholme Golf Courses
- Speet Gill at Wigton, Burnfoot
- Wiza Beck and Black Beck at Wigton, Station Rd
- Wiza Beck, Flosh Beck, Speet Gill and Black Beck at Wigton
- A further flood warning has also been issued for Keswick Campsite.
Flood alerts have also been issued for:
- Lower River Eden
- Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster
- Rivers Caldew and Petteril
- Rivers Cocker, Marron and Derwent
- Rivers Esk and Irthing
- Rivers Wampool and Ellen
- Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water
- Upper River Eden
