Millom’s Waterloo House GP Surgery has confirmed that they are now planning the next stage of their vaccination programme.

The surgery revealed yesterday that most housebound and first priority group patients have now been vaccinated.

Plans are now in place to begin vaccinating priority groups three and four in the area.

A statement said: “Waterloo House are planning to roll out the next phase of the vaccinations covering this cohort on the afternoon of Thursday 21 and Friday 22nd January, and on the morning of Saturday 23rd January.

“We are in the process of contacting patients to offer appointments for this and there is no need for you to contact the surgery.

“As Thursday 21 January was already designated a training afternoon the usual operations of the surgery will be closed as they would normally be for training.

“Therefore, Cumbria Health On Call will be covering all the surgery needs on the afternoon of Thursday 21 Jan.”

Eligible patients are reminded not to attend the centre if they have any Covid-19 symptoms or if they have come into contact with someone displaying them.

Patients are also advised to not come early as there is no internal waiting area and to wear a mask.
