PEOPLE are invited to beat lockdown boredom with afternoon laughs to raise money for refugees.
Following the success of last year's series - which raised £1,300 for refugee charities - The Humanity Show is back with Afternoon Delight, starring comedians Kate Smurthwaite, Joe Wells and Sikisa (aka Twix).
For tickets, people are asked to donate at: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/TheHumanityShow?utm_term=pdAjRk5Xm If people leave their email address they will be sent a link to the show, starting at 3.30 pm on Saturday February 27.
Organiser Harry Brunskill, of Furness Refugee Support, said: "Who says comedy has to be at night? "This is a great way of breaking up long, lockdown afternoons and raising money for a good cause at the same time.
"This is a great line-up! Sikisa is also an immigration lawyer, so she may have something to say about refugees."
Proceeds of the show will go to Choose Love's campaign to buy fuel for families stuck in tents and makeshift shelters covered in thick snow in refugee camps in Lebanon and across the Middle East.
