Over 45s are now being invited to book their Covid vaccination after the NHS website has updated.

The NHS website now states that those aged 45 or over are able to book their jab appointments.

More than 32 million people in the UK have now received their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

This is the equivalent of the number of people identified as belonging in the top nine priority groups for the vaccine.

The Government has set a target of the middle of April to offer a first dose of vaccine to everybody in the nine groups, including all those aged 50 and over.

The NHS website now states you can book if vaccine if:

  • you are aged 45 or over
  • you are at high risk from coronavirus (clinically extremely vulnerable)
  • you have a condition that puts you at higher risk (clinically vulnerable)
  • you have a learning disability
  • you get a Carer's Allowance, get support following an assessment by your local authority or your GP record shows you are a carer

Book your appointments

You need to:

  • have 2 doses of the coronavirus vaccine at 2 appointments
  • book both appointments at the same time
  • get the 2nd dose 11 to 12 weeks after getting your 1st dose
