THE LANCASHIRE POLICE CONSTABULARY were called out to more than 23,800 crime reports in 2020.

According to data from police.uk, the overwhelming majority of these reports (10,506) were related to anti-social behaviour.

This works out as a shocking average of more than 28 reports per day.

  • Nuisance, rowdy or inconsiderate neighbours
  • Graffiti, vandalism and littering
  • Fireworks misuse
  • Hoax calls
  • Hate crime, which includes bullying and abusive behaviour because of someone’s race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age or a disability
  • Use of an imitation weapon like a BB Gun in a public place
  • Prostitution related activity
  • Begging and vagrancy

Some of the anti-social behaviour described above is a criminal offence, such as criminal damage or drug dealing, and this can result in arrest and prosecution.
