AS you might already know, the cast and crew of hit BBC show, Peaky Blinders, descended on various North West towns and villages recently.

Filming is currently underway for the sixth and final season of the gangster television show.

Last week, filming took place at Bacup in Rossendale and a traditional gypsy camp, complete with wagons and other vehicles were set up in Lee Quarry.

Filming also took place in Bolton town centre for three days.

Cillian Murphy, who plays Tommy, was seen running out of the former Bolton Magistrates Court, down the steps on to the Crescent, which has been transformed into a period street scene with vintage cars parked up.

Despite being set in the West Midland city of Birmingham, a lot of filming has taken place right on our doorsteps.

Throughout the five seasons (and the sixth which is yet to air), cast and crew have visited many areas across the country to film- including an impressive number of areas in the North West.

We have made an interactive map detailing some of the filming locations used across the North West.

The Lancashire Mining museum is just one location where filming took place in season four.

The iconic London Road Fire station in Manchester was also used in a car chase scene.
