PLANS have been approved to convert a barbers into a fish and chip shop.
South Lakeland District Council has given the thumbs up to convert FEYZ BARBERS in Finkle Street, Kendal to a fish and chip shop and takeaway.
The application, submitted by Mr Veysullah Bagis, states that the shop and takeaway would be opening later on in the year.
It would also potentially provide employment for up to five people.
According to the plans, the fish and chip shop would be open from 11am Monday to Sunday and close at 2am over the weekend.
The plans also state that there will be no alterations to the front elevation of the building.
The heritage and design statement states: "The proposals will have a positive impact on and enhance the character and appearance of the area."
