CUMBRIA Police has issued a further warning over sheep worrying to new dog owners as the county is currently in lambing season.
This comes after lockdown saw a surge in puppy sales nationally.
A Cumbria Constabulary spokesman said: “Did you get a new dog during the pandemic?
“If you are taking them out for a walk in the countryside, make sure you keep them on their lead near livestock.
“Dogs may naturally try and chase livestock and the stress alone of being chased can kill livestock.”
