AN office building used by Barrow’s Age UK charity has been sold.
Lakeland House in Abbey Road was listed for offers in the region of £300,000.
A listing by estate agents Peill & Co said: “The property comprises an attractive two-storey building constructed in the 1930s as a headquarters for a prestigious regional laundry company which has been in office use ever since.
“The property is arranged over ground and first floors, with parts of the building being separately serviced and having a separate ground-floor entrance enabling the property to be in multi-occupation."
Age UK's shop in Rawlinson Street has also been sold and was previously listed for £130,000.
The shop previously underwent a £10,000 revamp in a bid to attract younger customers.
A new shop is due to open in Wilkie Road.
It will take the place of JD Motors, which opened a new dealership at Mill Brow, near Dalton, late last year.
