BARROW Raiders have been given the all clear for fans to return after May 17 which will be a welcome boost for players, their director of rugby has said.
This comes after news they have been signed off and approved by both the council and the Rugby Football League (RFL) for the return of crowds to the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium.
As soon as the Government confirm that crowds can return from May `17 tickets will go on sale on the club website for the North Wales Crusaders fixture on May 30, 3pm Kick Off. For those without internet access tickets can be purchased from Scott Street during office hours.
"It will be a massive boost for the club and the supporters in general," director of rugby Andy Gaffney said.
"The crowds here are really passionate so this is a really hard place to come for visiting teams as when they come it feels like the crowd is on top of them.
"We already ave a large following and we are hoping that we will have even more this time."
Following the success of the marquee beer garden the club have hosted, they are hoping to make match days a full day event for families to enjoy, rather than just 'turning up for the game and going home.
"The facilities we have have massively improved and with the marquee as well it is just a better overall experience for supporters. People will want to get here early and make the most of what we have got to offer."
