AN URGENT warning has been issued after number of scam texts were received across south Cumbria.
Trading Standards have issued a warning to residents to be extra vigilant, the texts might write of your personal non- existent problems - all supposedly from familiar sources -including BT, banks, mobile phone providers, building societies.
Their websites are clever fakes, resembling genuine websites.
Residents are advised not to click on the links and send any suspicious texts to 7726.
The announcement was put together by our community news correspondent Jay Barkley for Burton-in-Kendal.
