CORDON: Police and fire crews taped the area off on Saturday
Police and fire teams were called after part of a chimney stack fell into a road in Milnthorpe.
On Saturday (May 8) afternoon it was reported that part of a chimney stack on the old church hall had fallen into the road on Milnthorpe Square, near Sue's Snack Bar.
Cumbria Constabulary reported that 'nobody was injured' and that no damage was caused to any vehicles.
A force spokeswoman said: "Police were called to assist with traffic management whilst the road was cleared.
"Fire and structural engineers attended to assess."
