A BODY has been recovered from water in Blackburn.
Emergency services were called to a location close to Bolton Road at around 5.20pm on Tuesday, following reports a member of the public had seen a body in some water.
Sadly, officers found a man in his 40s.
People living in the area reported seeing the fire service, police and an ambulance on streets close to Bolton Road on Tuesday evening.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at around 5.20pm yesterday (Tuesday) to reports a body had been seen close to some water by Bolton Road, Blackburn.
“We attended and sadly found the body of a man in his 40s.
“His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed on to HM Coroner in due course.”
