LOVESTRUCK newlyweds became Mrs and Mrs after tying the knot in an idyllic Lakes ceremony.

Jenna Wright, 34, and Sarah Murphy, 33, first crossed paths on social media, quickly realising the pair had a magical spark.

After talking on Instagram for a number of months, the couple decided to take a trip to Five Guys in Manchester for their first date.

And six months into the relationship, Mrs Murphy decided to leave her home near Blackpool and move in with her future wife in Cleator Moor.

The now Mrs J Murphy, who works as a nuclear worker, popped the question after two years together.

Her wife said: "My sister works in a jewellers. I used to go and see her all the time and play with engagement rings long before Jenna was on the scene so I'd known for a long time what I wanted my ring to look like.

"When Jenna decided she wanted to propose, she saw my sister chose the ring and gave it to me on our anniversary.

"We were reading through our scrapbook of all our past years together and at the end she asked me to marry her."

The couple was forced to postpone their wedding twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic, before eventually tying the knot at the Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa in Windermere.

"It almost felt like Covid didn't exist. There was 21 people there including us and we were able to speak to everyone throughout the day," Mrs Murphy said.

"Neither of us are a massive fan of the limelight so it was perfect.
