SOUTH Lakeland District Council is appealing for information after ‘unsightly’ piles of tarmac were left at Bardsea Beach, near Ulverston, last week.

Also left on the beach were red bricks and garden waste.

On social media a council spokesperson said: “Can you help us find out who fly-tipped these unsightly piles of tarmac at Bardsea Beach last week, along with red housing bricks and garden waste?

“If you have any information, please report it to us at locality@southlakeland.gov.uk.”
