TWO people have died following a serious crash on the A66.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Saturday morning which involved a car and a tractor.
A man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene.
Shaun Milburn, 34, Maryport, who was driving the Ford S Max and Michelle Pattinson 42, Maryport, a passenger in the car, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The tractor driver, a 20-year-old man from the area , was treated at the Cumberland Infirmary,Carlisle for minor injuries.
A police spokesman said : "The Ford was carrying five people at the time of the collision.
"The three other passengers, a man and a woman in their thirties and a man in his forties, all local, were taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with serious, non-life-threatening injuries."
