APPEAL: Scam
CUMBRIA Trading Standards have warned residents of a Bitcoin investment scam.
An investment scam is when someone offers you a fake - but often convincing - opportunity to make a profit after they hand over a sum of money.
The public body said: "Bitcoin Scams ALERT!
"As with any investment please do your research on a company before handing over any money.
"If you don’t understand a cryptocurrency or an investment, avoid it."
