THE public is invited to take part in a family-friendly nature trail taking place near Barrow.
The event at Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve, Roanhead, will give people the opportunity to 'explore life in the pools, wildflowers in the grassland and conservation on the coast'.
The day will be led by Eve Mulholland, engagement officer for Dynamic Dunescapes, a partnership project aiming to restore sand dunes across England and Wales.
A spokesman for Cumbria Wildlife Trust, which is hosting the event on Friday, August 6, said: "Have a close look in the pools, spot different wildflowers and insects.
"Bring your dogs to join in the fun!
"The nature trail will have treats along the way. Will your dog be able to lead the way?"
The event begins at 2pm. Visit the 'what's on' section of cumbriawildlifetrust.org.uk to book.
