A HISTORIC former town centre pub has been transformed into a lavish holiday home.

The Black Swan in Kendal has been converted into a seven bedroom house, along with its own cinema room and cave bar.

It has been advertised to holidaymakers on some sites for more than £1,300 a night.

 A description on TripAdvisor said: "This four-storey converted pub is in the heart of Kendal’s ancient town centre in Cumbria, and sleeps sixteen people in seven bedrooms.

"The Black Swan Manor is a beautiful four-storey converted pub in the heart of Kendal, Cumbria. Arranged over the first and second floors, the property has seven bedrooms sleeping sixteen people, including a four poster bedroom, a king-size, four king-size rooms (zip/link, can be twin on request) and a family room with two king-size beds, accompanied by five bathrooms, three of which are en-suite.

"There is also a sitting room, dining room, kitchen and ladies and gents WC on the ground floor.
