Full time developing firefighters training at the Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service have been training in how to react to emergency situations more effectively.
A spokesperson for the Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service wrote in a post on their Facebook page congratulating the firefighters on completing second week of hard training: "And that's week 2 of training complete for our full-time developing Firefighters.
"This week has included lots of prevention and protection activities, two very important parts of the work we carry out within Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service.
"The group have learnt how we carry out Safe and Well Visits within our local communities and all about business fire safety.
"As part of this, they visited Carlisle Racecourse to conduct a risk familiarisation visit.
"These visits are designed to help Firefighters learn about the buildings in their area in case an incident occurs.
"Well done and thank you to everyone involved in delivering this course."
