Police confirm man hit by train at level crossing
POLICE have confirmed that a man has been struck by a train in the Furness area.
A spokesman for Cumbria Constabulary said: "Cumbria Police were contacted shortly after 6.30pm last night to a report of a man having been struck by a train at a level crossing.
"Cumbria Police attended prior to BTP arrival on the scene."
