A DRIVER now has a criminal record after 'fibbing' to police about his car being cloned.
A spokesman for Cumbria Roads Police shared online that a driver who activated a static speed cameras 'fibbed' to officers about his car being cloned.
A spokesman said: "He was trying to escape the penalty for driving 35mph in a 30 limit.
"He now has a criminal record for perverting the course of justice; must complete 200 hours unpaid work and pay a £300 fine."
