Online reviewer Callum said: "Five of us ate here and it was lovely. The pizzas were huge, steak cooked to perfection and a gorgeous homemade lasagne. A young, friendly and attentive group of staff and we will be back."

Clean, tidy, and spacious seating. Would definitely revisit unfortunately not local. Perhaps another visit to Kendal should be arranged."

4) Union Jack Cafe

Kirkland's popular cafe serves tasty meals and is well known for its full English Breakfast.

Online reviewer Chris said: "The staff were very friendly, the tables were immaculately clean, the choice on the menu was vast, we had the English breakfast, well worth the £5.50, would recommend this place to anyone visiting Kendal."

5) Bangkok 7 Thai Restaurant

The Thai restaurant located on Finkle Street has built a loyal following with the customers thanks to its friendly staff and gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options.
