THE Westmorland and West Lancashire Leagues continued on a busy weekend of action for all of the local teams.

Milnthorpe Corinthians are now ten points clear at the top of West Lancashire League Division One after Aaron Hoyles 55th minute penalty guided them to a narrow 1-0 home win against Hawcoat Park.

Kendal County picked up a priceless 2-1 victory against Croston Sports at Parkside Road, Kendal went 1-0 up through an own goal on 30 minutes before Brody Moffatt made it 2-0 ten minutes into the second half.

However, Dom Swarbricks 70th minute strike saw the visitors get back into the game, before Kendal County saw out the closing stages to pick up the win.

In West Lancashire League Division Two, Kendal United rescued a point after they drew 2-2 at Storeys.

Marco Thompson edged Kendal in-front nine minutes into the second half, before goals by Wayne Beswick and Matthew Poole saw Storeys go 2-1 up.

Kendal though rescued a draw after Bailey Kenny scored from the penalty spot deep into stoppage time.

In the other games Carnforth Rangers drew 1-1 at Chipping while Cartmel & District crashed to defeat losing 2-0 at Walney Island.

Ibis defeated Appleby 4-3 in James Cropper Westmorland League Division One, after a brace by Cory Robinson and goals by Tim Blamire and Tyler Park.

However, the shock of the day saw Kirkby Stephen defeat Endmoor KGR 3-1, while Andrew Burrows brace and Joe Fallows goal helped Sedbergh & Dent United defeat Shap 3-1.

The game of the day in Division Two saw Kendal United Reserves defeat Burneside 2-1, with goals from Lauchlan Savage and Cameron Horner, while Kendal County Reserves won 3-0 at Windermere Reserves.

In Division Three Endmoor KGR Reserves won 5-0 at Burneside Reserves.
