POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was punched in the face by a man.
Cumbria Police is investigating a report of assault which occurred on Beresford Road, Windermere, at around 07:40am on the morning of Thursday, November 18.
According to officers the suspect was reported to be walking in the road and struck out at a passing car.
When the driver of the car stopped, the suspect assaulted her by punching her to the face, causing minor injuries.
The suspect is described as a white adult male with short hair, wearing grey and white coloured clothing.
A force spokesman said: “Anyone with information relating to this incident can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit, quoting incident number 30 of 18th November 2021. You can also phone on 101.
