HERE is a list of some events going on around the South Lakes to help you and your family bring in the new year.

1. The Angel Inn

Why not start the year right and celebrate the end 0f 2022 at The Angle Inn, Windermere will be hosting their annual NYE party on December 31 with plenty of food and a great food selection.

2. The North Lakes Half Marathon

On January 2, 2022 why not take part in the road-based half marathon between 10am and 4pm, starting at Graysonside farm.

3. Ambleside Inn

From 7pm and 1am join the team at the Ambleside Inn where you will welcome in the new year with live entertainment, plenty of food and a selection of drinks on New Years Eve.

4. Cumbria Club Night

On December 30 head down to the Gilpin Bridge Inn for the monthly Porsche enthusiast club meeting between 7pm and 10pm.

5. Sizergh’s National Trust

The trust has been hosting a wander walk and this will be taking place till January 2, 2022. The trail will take place every day between 10am and 3.30pm.

6. Paintings by Anne Mackinnon

Interested in art? Then this will be perfect for you. Explore the collection of pen and ink drawings that Anne drew throughout various lockdowns at the Clough Gallery, Sedbergh until January 2.

7. Windermere Jetty Museum

Experience ‘Wrecked’ until March, 10 2022 between 10am-5pm explore a new immersive experience and discover stories that were once lost to the water.

8. Curious About Kendal

On December 30 and 31st between 10am and 5pm, you can have fun rediscovering Kendal spotting things you’ve never noticed before, with two quirky treasure hunt style heritage walks.

9. Street Market

On January 1 head down to the street market in Ulverston to get some bargains and support local business.

10. BAHA ‘resolution revolution’

BAHA in Windermere will be open both during the day and evening to bring in 2022. During the day food and drink will be served from 1pm till 4:30pm and will close between 5pm and 6pm for the evening and then reopen from 6pm till 3am to bring in the new year.
