THE Kendal Soccer Six League resumed play this week and saw 43 goals scored across six games.

The league took place on February 21 at Kendal Rugby Club, after a weekend full of postponements.

Participation was high for the 30-minute games where players from local clubs got some much-needed football, following on from weeks of inactivity.

Former players, as well as those who just want to get fit also participated in the league, on a fun but competitive night.

However, the league which is now 16 games into the season is relatively close especially at the top where Exeter Gently lead the way by one point after they defeated The G Squad 10-1.

Joiner FC are applying pressure for the title as they are just one point behind following their 6-2 win against The Mighty Herons.

In the other games Borussia saw off Miller FC 8-1, the Sarnie Army edged out Wezzland 2-1, KGR battled past Pjanic at the Isco 4-2, while CNM saw off Dicey Rileys 4-1.

The league is always open to more teams and for further details contact Lewis Floyd on 07535504082.
